Kate Chopin

Reaction to all three stories:
· The story of an hour
· The blind Man
· Desiree’s baby

My Reaction to the story of “the story of an hour” I was amazed. The story besides that it was good. I know when people lose a family or someone they come out crying and always sad, but the wife that lost the husband was actually happy and excited. When the end had came along she was so happy that when he walked into the room she died of seeing him again. Well yea she did get her freedom but a dead in a way. You might get what you want but doesn’t mean how you could get it. If she wanted freedom now she gots it but it wasn’t the way that she wanted it to happen.

My reaction in “the blind Man” is that every one was mean and no body wanted to help him. Every one seen him wearing suit with a jacket on and standing in the sun but nobody wanted to tell him to take the jacket off or help him find a place to stand in the shade instead in the sun. most of the people were being ignorant and selfish. Imagine if that was you, having every one push you around and not help you. Like when he was standing there waiting for someone to buy pencils form him since he was hungry. They ignored him like if he wasn’t there, invisible.

In “desiree’s baby” I thought it was kind of sad when her husband did nt want her and the kid even though the kid was black. He had thought the mother was the one that was black until the end had a suprising change. When he was the one that had black in his family. I wouldn’t have guessed that it was him even though Desiree was left in front of a house by herself. In this story the thing that it shows us is that thing wont seem how they are. First it is this way then it changed inot a reverse mode and every thing has changed.

Desiree's Baby, The Sequel

after he had read the letter that his mother wrote for his father he was shocked. he didnt have any type of emotion on his face.blank. he stared at the wall, with the picture on the wall of her mother. it was kind of hard for him not to think of it that he is black and what might really happen to him if people. he tried bringing his wife back since he knows that it is him. but she says that now she doesnt want to do anything with him anymore. so then he left his home twon and that was the end of the story. never met face to face on what happened.

flowers for Algernon

if you were given a choice to have an operation that would make you much smarter, would you do it especially if you knew the effect were only temporary?why or why not? use examples from the story.
if i had the choice to have this operation, even though it will make me smarter but only stay temporary i would have to reject it. i think i should reject it because i want to spend so much time working on something just to make me smarter then what i already am. i could understand if a kid or older person didnt know how to read write or spell and actaully wants to see how it is done. then yea ok they would lik it and enjoy it as it last.but with me i wouldnt get it done. when charlie had his done he only had maybe a year or less but he couldnt keep it. soon he started becomming the same type of person that he was. so if i knew that it was temporary i wouldnt do it, even though people try to convince me to do it.

the Curious Case of Benjamin Button

After reading Chapters 3-7, predict three problems you think Benjamin will encounter and give your solutions for each.

one problem that he might get into is losing all knowledge that he had when he was older. like growing from a child hood to a man hood you still can remember everything you did but going back wards it will be a little bit harder. this is because you knew so much then when you start decreasing age you can barely remember how to do something:its like never knowing how to do it. the solution for this he should get a special notebook and write everything and anything he did and and what he knows for he can see it as he gets younger in looks and can keep adding things to it.

another problem i think that Benjamin is going to run into is when he has to leave his wife and kid. since he is already changing from looking to a seventy year old man to a fiftyish old man, but then if he gets younger and younger he wouldn't like her and she wouldn't like him. so the solution for this is not to let them know and make up a lie, and go somewhere far, far enough that she can't find him. also he can just relax where ever he is at.

another problem that Benjamin will encounter is people in the out world will have different having different reactions. like if he leaves his wife and ends up in a new place people are going to be like oh my god it is him. the solution for this is to ignore every prson around him and his wife, and just life peacfully. these are the problems i think he will encounter.

the curious case of benjamin Button, chapter 2

roger is so overly concerned with how Benjamin looks and is worried about what people are going to say. what should he do?

i think that Roger is going to do it keep him in the house by him self. but once in a while he would get him out of the house. or he might just lock his own son in the house from not letting people making fun of him when they he him think how old his son is when it was just born. i wouldn't know what to do if he was my son, I'll be shocked but i wouldn't know what to do with him. this is what i think Roger is going to do with Benjamin

the curious case of Benjamin Button, Chapter 1

-what would you have done if you were Roger Button in Chapter 1?

if i was Roger Button what i would do diffrently was probably ask why all these nurses and doctors where worried. this is because sinced all these people had an exspression on their face they're had to be something going wrong. this is when i would of stepped in and asked what is happening. if i was Roger and seen the child i wouldn't be all weird bout it seeing seeing my son as an old man. yes it will be wierd but i would have trat him the same way as if i treat someone else. even when it comes to taking him home. he still might look older then me or the mother but if he was your son you had to take care of them like we had are parents due until they where able to take care of himself. this is what i would have done if i was Roger Button.

Love

LOVE

Love is not what you think it is
Love is in your heart,
Love is when you have been with a
person for a long time
Loves is not when you like someone
right then and right there
There are two types of love
One is and admiration to another to person, that’s love
In love is affection to one another
Must people will love each other one
another from the heart to heart
When you are truly in Love
you stay with each other, Forever
You can scream at each other and
be mad but that is what love has:
arguments.
This is love
